My adventure in Iceland has begun! Yesterday, after a pretty stressful morning at home (blocked drain in the kitchen!! Last minute packing and deciding what not to take!!) I got safely to the airport, thanks to my mom and dad. One of my suitcases broke as it was lifted out from the car, so I got myself the first little setback to handle. Breath deep, go by a belt for the bag and try again. I bought a yellow one, a sun ray to follow me on my travels and after that the day just smoothly drifted me to my apartment in Reykjavik. 

The sceneries from the airplane windows were breathtaking. The taxi driver was smiley and friendly older fellow and a little cat was there to welcome me on my new home street. My apartment is tidy and cosy, well enough for one. 

I got out in the evening to buy something to eat. Was suprised by the relatively high prices, although I had prepared myself for that. (And my home Finland is not the cheapest either.) But next to the store the was an outdoor pool. Only a five minute walk from my appt!! I stopped by to take a dip in the warm pools. Bought myself a ten-times-serial-entrance-card, so I guess I will be there often. What a nice way to end a travelling day!
